Morning everyone (started to say morning ladies but I welcome all)! I plan to start working on making this a real blog.  I have a whole list of things (important things) to blog about and to start getting your comments on!  But, for this blog I am selfishly blogging as part of a contest!  Please bear with me for this! The contest I am entering has a whole list of stuff to win!  We all love winning! Gifts or winning in other ways.  Like winning a control contest with a teen daughter---parents of teen (especially teen girls) totally get what I mean.  I love my girls (talking about the 2 whole still live at home with us) as well as my son and his family of course!  But, the teen drives me to wanting to have a glass of wine earlier and earlier every day...didn't say I gave in to the power of the vine...but I sure think about it when dealing with her some days.

Any who (as my elementary daughter says) I want to get into all this hot mess of parenting later.  For now just entering a great contest.  The question the Birthday Bash Giveaway asks is -- What do I want for my birthday?  I will be 52 this year...I am not an age worrier but I would like to not look my age who wouldn't like to look younger?   But for my birthday what would I like??  Mani-Pedi? Massage? Alone time at home?  Time to do some reading or sewing?  For someone else to walk the dog?  Dancing lessons ( learning to shag is on my bucket list, has been for many, many years!) Dinner alone with my hubby?   Well, of course I would like them all...but I am at the time of my life I would most like (love) time at home alone that I felt I could forget chores and watch old movies, or read, or time to learn to blog or what ever I felt like that day (oh and I do mean like a whole day not just 20 minutes or so but real time!  Sad, but true I do love quiet time at home....  Homebody...and I am proud of it!

Thank you for "listening" and look forward to getting to sharing more later!  Actually, it's very soothing to talk to you all - you listen and don't say "mommy get me, mommy I need or anything that resembles the word mommy!
